Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.  Wishing a peaceful 2013 to the best music fans and friends in the world!!

Here’s the debut of a new video by the Outerbridge Ensemble, “Determined”

which I think you will dig.The album “Determined” comes out Jan. 18.

There’s a show in Princeton, NJ on Friday, Jan. 18th, 8 pm, at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts.  Doors open at 7:30, $10 a ticket, all ages welcome.

Saturday, Jan. 19th, 10 pm, we are in Brooklyn at Union Hall.  21 and over, $10 tickets which can be ordered here. Not to be missed!!

The album “Determined” features your truly on hammond b3/piano/rhodes, Mark Dejong on tenor, trumpeter James Zollar, Soren Nissen on bass, Oren Neiman on guitar, Carsten Rubeling on trombone, Jerome Jennings on drums, and David Freeman on percussion.

While piano is my first love, the hammond b3 is definitely second (actually it’s a toss up between the wurlitzer and the b3).  I remember listening to hammond b3 artist Jimmy Smith’s “Confirmation” over and over…also listened to “swonderful.”  I am in love too with those countless soul, rock-n-roll tunes that have that thread of an organ in the background which you can’t really hear but makes the music groove and so soulful.

What is your favorite album or tune with hammond b3?
